Our goal is to make the arts accessible to everyone!
People with disabilities can’t always express themselves verbally. They may have some condition that keeps them from communicating to others; but art gives them a voice. They are happier when they go home after art class, and the family is very appreciative of that.
After implementing a successful pilot program at Wellington Community High School in Florida, we expanded the program all ESE classes, allowing us to take the benefits of arts education to a greater number of special needs students. Our goal is to replicate the program in Fishers and all across the greater Indianapolis area.

Like the swallows returning to Capistrano, the ArtStart butterflies made a successful return to the inaugural Spark!Fishers 4th-of-July celebration. Thanks to the help of our volunteers, everyone had a great time making butterflies! Look for our art activities at other local carnivals and festivals!
