Brennan King – West Palm Beach, FL - www.brennanking.org
Sarasota native Brennan King finds inspiration for his oil paintings
in the seaside enclaves and landmarks of Florida’s coastal
regions.  He graduated with honors from the University of Florida
with a degree in finance, but his desire to paint drew him back to
Sarasota where he earned a degree from the Ringling School of Art
and Design.  His work has been published in a variety of magazines
and other publications, including the Palm Beach Post where his
paintings were recently featured in the Travel section.

Marilyn Muller – Jupiter, FL - www.marilynmuller.com
Marilyn Muller teaches art at the Lighthouse Center for the Arts in
Tequesta. She enjoys painting landscapes – traveling from the
Florida Savannas to the hillsides of Tuscany to capture nature at its
best. Loose, impressionistic brushstrokes are the trademarks of
her work as she applies generous amounts of vibrant colors to each
piece, complimented by intricate, detailed glazing.  Her paintings are
included in private collections nationwide.

Michael Las Casas is an accomplished artist whose watercolor and
oil paintings capture the color and vibrancy of the Florida landscape.
Michael is a member of the Lake Worth Art League and a perennial
favorite “featured artist” of the Street Painting Festival. He can often
be spotted painting plein air at local parks, beaches, zoos and even
in downtown settings. His warm and open manner is
accommodating to the passer-by, as he will often engage them in
conversation about his work or art in general.

An Eco-Artist, Susan Andreason focuses much her work on the
creatures found on the endangered species list.  She uses a non-
translucent/transparent layering effect in her oil paintings that she
feels is more vibrant and appealing than the standard oil or
watercolor style.  She has pieces in the permanent collections of the
White House and the Palm Beach Zoo.  Her pieces have been
displayed in galleries in Florida, California and New York.

Susan Battin is an adjunct professor for the Armory Art Center in
West Palm Beach. As an artist she feels that the greatest inspiration
for creative energy is the creative process itself. For Susan, plein air
painting both revitalizes and renews her spirit and she hopes to
impart to each viewer of her work that same experience while
inspiring creativity in each and everyone who encounters her
paintings.  Susan works primarily watercolor and soft pastel,
capturing the subtleties of the nature and the interaction of light with
the subject matter.

Yossi Daboosh – Boca Raton, FL
Yossi Daboosh is an artist whose interactions with the environment
shape his perception of the world around him, as he strives to
translate the natural beauty of the landscape into a lasting tribute to
nature itself.  As an artist, he renders onto the canvas his
perceptions, bringing to the surface the subtleties of shapes, color,
light and shadows, thereby shaping the way in which he views the
world. Yossi believes that the closer we look the more complex the
environment becomes, and he tries to convey that complexity in his
work.

Mary Delaney – Boca Raton, FL
Mary Delaney’s work has won increasing acclaim from collectors
and is regularly exhibited in galleries on Long Island and along the
East coast.  Characterized by strength and technical expertise, her
work ranges from charcoal drawings of street scenes and city and
rural life to warm and delicate brush strokes of nature at its finest.  
Among her career highlights is a commission to create a series of
drawings depicting life in New York during the 1930s and ‘40s,
which is now on display in City Hall in New York City.

J. R. Houbrick is an artist who marches to the beat of his own,
distinctive drummer.  Influenced by Abstract Expressionism and
German Expressionism, Houbrick paints with the spontaneous wit
of a man who enjoys life and understands his unique place in the
world. Driven by a passion to “let the muse be heard,” Houbrick’s
imagination is one of his greatest assets, and he allows himself to
freely express a wide array of emotions when he paints.

Herb Janow paints with an emphasis on color, design and
technique. He began painting in 1957, developing and constantly
refining his own unique style. He also has a love of fine art
photography and has studied both art and photography art in New
York and his work was selected as the cover art for the first Harvest
Moon Mall held in Sullivan County, NY.

Frances Lynn was raised in West Palm Beach and fondly recalls
traveling across the state with her family long before Disney World
and I-95 altered the landscape. What has not changed, says the
artist, is the clear light and intense color that make Florida an ideal
location for painting outdoors. In her oil paintings she captures on a
daily basis the natural beauty around her. France is as a member
Plein Air Florida, Plein Air Georgia, Plein Air Painters of America, Oil
Painters of America and the Atlanta Artists Center.

Astrid Mora’s vivid watercolors capture the landscapes encountered
during her frequent journeys.  She was educated in Spain, where
she earned a Masters degree in Art History and became a certified
art dealer. Now a US citizen, she travels regularly to Spain and
Columbia to exhibit her work.  Much of her recent work focused on
the Florida landscape, while other paintings reflect her interest in
exploring the complex nature of human emotions and relationships   
Her artwork has been exhibited in numerous museums and
galleries in the United States, Europe, Central and South America.

Ralph Papa, a native New Yorker, began sketching and painting as
a child growing up on Manhattan's Upper East Side and in the
1960s exhibited regularly in Greenwich Village. In the past 12 years,
Ralph has shifted his emphasis from studio painting to plein air
landscapes. Spanning a period of over 40 years, his works reflect a
serene yet powerful style in communicating a love and respect for
nature and individuality. His paintings have a unique personal
quality for the artist as well as the beholder.

Pat Z. Roberts – Fort Walton Beach, FL
For Pat Roberts, artistic expression comes to the surface through
experimentation with color, brushstrokes and the palette knife as
she creates vivid oil paintings.  The artist is attracted by vibrancy and
contrast found both in nature and architecture. She attempts to
convey through her work the beauty she sees around her, beauty
that can be found in a variety of subject matter, from an ordinary tree
to an interesting structure.

Lorrie B. Turner, who works in pastels, oil, pen and ink, has
exhibited her paintings throughout the United States, and in China,
Canada and Europe. He work can be found in many private and
corporations around the world.  Painting “au plein air” is her
passion, and one of the reasons she moved to Florida from New
York.  Her work can be found in “The Best of Pastel,” volumes one
and two, published by Rockport Press.

Debbie Sampson captures the triumph and energy of athletic
competition in her oils and graphite pieces – whether a professional
sports competition or an equestrian event.  Debbie gained national
recognition when her work was featured on CNN, ESPN, The
Sunshine Network and Miami’s FOX television affiliate. Her work
also has been featured in USA Today, The Miami Herald and the
South Florida Sun-Sentinel, and has been used as cover art for The
Sports Collectibles Digest and Dan’s Paper’s, published in New
York City and the Hamptons.

Beth Sloat – Ocean Ridge, FL
Beth Sloat finds inspiration in the challenge of capturing in her oil
paintings the ever-changing subtleties of Florida’s natural beauty,
with its lively nature and constant state of flux.  Her work is
presented in vibrant vibrations of color as she paints to capture and
preserve the emotionally transcendent experience of nature in a
language that is universally accepted, striving to catch the moment
and bring it to life on the canvas.

Carol Steinberg – Jupiter, FL
A native of Philadelphia and graduate of Temple University, Carol
Steinberg moved to Jupiter 13 years ago and was instrumental in
forming the North County Art Association, where she currently
serves as the organization's president.  Carol describes herself as
a colorist who strives to capture the natural beauty of Florida’s
landscapes in her oil paintings. Her goal with each painting is to
allow others to experience the splendor of the outdoors when they
view her work.

Sherie Tengbergen – Boynton Beach, FL -

Sherie Tengbergen is a watercolorist whose life has been
dedicated to art and creative applications.  She has been painting
and teaching art for more than 30 years, combining her unique
background as artist, educator and presenter. Among her
accomplishments are a one-woman show in Den Haag, Holland, a
listing in “Who’s Who in American Teachers” and teacher of the year
honors in California.

Sheila Wolff – Boca Raton, FL
Sheila Wolff has been living and painting in South Florida for 16
years.  Prior to moving to Florida she studied classical drawing and
oil painting at the John Frederick Murray School of Art in New York.  
Plein air painting is a special love of hers, as it allows the artist to
capture the beauty of nature while experiencing its complete
essence – the color, sound, smell and feeling that surround her
while she works.
